Ongoing China Seismic Array Project: south segment of the South-North Seismic Belt!
PI: Zhifeng Ding.
Scientific Goals:
Targeting the major problems regarding to the seismogenic enviroment and continental tectonics in the South-North Seismic Belt (SNSB) in the eastern Tibetan Plateau. The project is aimed to solve:
(1)the deep structure beneath the SNSB; the interaction patterns of micro-blogs in this region;
(2)the tectonic forces at work to transfer materials southeastward; (3)the seismogenic pattern of the SNSB.
The major tasks include: (1)Portable broadband seismic array monitoring;
(2)Deep seismic profiling;
(3)Gravity Profiling;
(4)MT Profiling; (5)EM Profiling; (6)Database building;
(7)3D model building of the Crust-Mantle structure; (8)The dynamic model of deep earth; (9)Repeated seismic survey of active source; (10) Standard model building of some typical regions.
Blue Triangle: designed stations Red Block: permanent stations
