Abstract: Analyzing the aftershock sequence of the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake , we considered 26 micro2 earthquakes“just underneath”seismic stations. Making use of such special station-event conf igurations to determine the depth of these micro-earthquakes provided accurate relocation of aftershocks with a reference set of“ground truth ( GT) events”.
